The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) will teach participants step-by-step how to make a lovely lotus flower lantern using colored paper and a pre-made wire frame. Participants will also learn about Korea’s unique history and culture and watch a short documentary film.

Children ages 7 and up and their caregivers are invited to a special Presidents’ Day storytime. Discover interesting facts about President William McKinley and make a craft honoring his life! 

Children ages 3 and up and their caregivers are invited to make a floral arrangement to take home using fresh flowers. This hands-on sensory activity will build coordination and motor skills, nurture an appreciation for beauty, and more!

Get into the giving spirit by making a festive beeswax candle to share or keep! Children ages 7 and up and their caregivers can enjoy cookies, cocoa, and music while creating a candle.

Can you bottle happiness? Learn about the link between scents and emotions as you create your own roll-on “Happy” oil blend to take home. Janet Agueda of Making Scents Studio in Niles will present this interactive and intriguing introduction to the world of aromatherapy.

Learn to cultivate a healthy mind by “planting” positive thoughts and “weeding out” harmful thoughts. Ms. Barb, LISW with Cadence Care Network and adjunct professor at YSU, will explain the idea by leading a hands-on gardening activity.
