Community Outreach Services

Homebound Service Residential Delivery

Purpose
To provide regular delivery of library materials to individuals who are not able to use their local library.  The service is offered to the elderly, physically handicapped, visually impaired, and to individuals who do not have easy and/or conventional access to their local library.  Monthly deliveries are made to their place of residence.

Registration Procedure
Staff will check to determine if the patron has a record in the system.  If the individual has a delinquent record, they will be notified that all fines, fees, etc., must be cleared before delivery can be arranged.*

The individual will be contacted by phone to confirm the address and to gather reading interest information.   A delivery date will also be determined.  Approximately 10 books will be pulled according to the reader's preference.

Videos, music CD's and cassettes are excluded from selection for home delivery.
