Site of McKinley's
Birthplace Home
Demolition of the old McKinley Bank building, located on S. Main
St., has been completed, and
a replica of President William McKinley's
birthplace home has been erected in its place.
Pictures of the demolition of the
McKinley Bank Building and the
Old Main Ale and Chowder House,
which took place between 11/1999
and 11/2000,
can be seen by clicking on the link.
During reconstruction, a fence was
erected in front of the
construction site,
and murals
were painted on it by the
art students of
Mrs. Patty Tricomi of
Edison Junior High School.
